EdgeView Genetics is the recently formed partnership of Dr. Kenny Joe Manion and Ken Main. 

​

Dr. Manion is a family medicine doctor in Glasgow, Kentucky and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Medical Center at Scottsville and T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He received his medical degree from University of Louisville School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. 

​

Manion has owned and developed many Brown Swiss Champions under the prefix Manions, New View and other partnerships. See his Brown Swiss story here.

Kenny Joe has a daughter Kelly Jo, who is now a Brown Swiss youth junior and enjoys showing with her father.

​

Ken Main is a long-time Brown Swiss breeder of Champions. He and his previous partner, Peter Vail, under the Cutting Edge prefix were the Premier Breeders at Madison in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. The Elite Dairy partnership of Main & Vail were the Premier Exhibitor at Madison for 13 consecutive years and this year, with Manion, made it 14 consecutive years for Main. Main has been a co-owner of 5 International Show Grand Champions.

Main grew up around the Syracuse, New York area on a Brown Swiss and Holstein farm. In 1977 he established his Holstein herd in the Berkshire Valley and now milk over 1200 Holsteins. These cattle are used for the extensive flush program for Elite Dairy !!.

 

He has a son, Lynn who helps oversee the crop and dairy operation. He and his wife Heidi have a daughter, Ella. Main also has two daughters, Donna and Michelle. Donna's sons Mikey and Kyle have been instrumental in previous years showing and helping with the Elite Dairy Brown Swiss herd.

The EdgeView cattle will be housed at Elite Dairy II in Copake, New York.
